Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of content on Hardeman County Criminal History. Using the website means that you accept all of them. If you disagree with any condition, discontinue use of the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. The site and its advertising partners do not offer a service for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). It is a reference to criminal-record sources in Hardeman County, Texas, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent, private reference site. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, conducts official checks, or files documents for visitors.

The content identifies offices and systems that hold Hardeman County records, including the Hardeman County Sheriff, the criminal courts, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Interfere with site access, speed, or availability for another person
  • Use a bot, scraper, or other automated tool against site pages
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any account, server, or system
  • Use information to threaten, stalk, or harass another person
  • Rely on site content for employment, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Violate a local, Texas, or federal law while using the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked tool may not be used to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or unlawfully discriminate. The restriction is especially important for the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Texas law can impose criminal or civil consequences for misuse against a listed person. Registry access supports public safety and does not authorize vigilantism or retaliation.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provide an FCRA screening service. Information from the site or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Decide eligibility for credit or insurance
  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a tenant or housing application
  • Determine access to a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Serve any other purpose governed by the FCRA

A legally permitted check for a regulated purpose must come from Texas DPS or a service that complies with the FCRA and all other applicable law.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. A licensed Texas attorney can advise how a particular Hardeman County charge, warrant, conviction, expunction, or nondisclosure rule applies to an individual matter.

6. No Warranties

The website is provided "as is," without any guarantee that:

  • A partner search result is complete, current, or correctly matched
  • The website will remain available without interruption
  • All information is accurate, complete, and current
  • Every page is free from errors or security weaknesses

Justice records change as charges are filed or dismissed and records are corrected, restricted, or expunged. Gaps and delays are unavoidable. Only the government custodian can make an official statement about its record.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to county offices, courts, Texas agencies, legal resources, and outside search services that we do not operate. Their availability, content, charges, terms, and data practices remain their responsibility. Review the destination's terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Hardeman County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required before copying, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative material from that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we accept no liability for damage arising from site use or reliance on information obtained here or from a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and legal proceedings caused by your site use or violation of these terms, including related costs and legal fees.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from use of the website must be brought in a court located in Texas. Access to government records remains subject to laws such as the Texas Public Information Act and the criminal-history dissemination rules in Government Code Chapter 411.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A revision takes effect when the updated terms are posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may suspend or end access to the site at any time, without prior notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be modified only to the extent required for enforcement.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
